Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

What documents do I need for travel?

If you are a US citizen, you will need a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining past the date of travel (a.k.a., your passport must expire May 8, 2027 or later). If you and/or your guest do not have a passport or need to renew,  please apply ASAP. It typically takes 6 - 8 weeks (not including mailing time) for processing but there can be delays. You will need your passport(s) to register for the trip. Click the link below for application information:

Who may accompany me?

FitzMark will cover trip costs (see Inclusions page) for you and a guest of your choice such as your spouse/partner, a sibling, or a longtime friend. You are also welcome to join the trip without a guest! Guests must be at least 18 years of age at the time of travel. Please note that you must have your guest committed at the time of registration and you will need to submit their passport information at that time. Please ensure they have secured any needed time off from work, and that babysitter or pet sitter needs are confirmed. You will not be able to change your guest after registration concludes. 

 

Which airport will I fly out of and what time is my flight?

You will be assigned to one of our group flights departing an airport near your home city. 

Specific flight information and all additional trip details will be communicated in your pre-trip packet, distributed a few weeks prior to the trip. For babysitter and pet/house sitter arrangements, you can plan on departing early in the morning on November 5 and returning late on November 8.   

 

What is included in the trip?

FitzMark will cover the costs ~ for you and your guest ~ for your roundtrip flights, private FitzMark ground transportation between the Cancun airport and the resort, your hotel room for 3 nights, and the all-inclusive package (including meals and drinks) at the resort.

    

Any expenses related to passport application fees, transportation to/from the airport in the U.S. (along with airport parking), checked bag fees*, spa treatments, and gift shop or other personal incidental hotel expenses are not included.

    

*Please note that the airlines charge a fee for each checked bag, each way of your trip. You will need to pay the airline directly if you choose to check a bag. More details regarding your airline-specific baggage allowances and fees will be included with your trip documents distributed in October 2026. However, airlines typically permit each passenger to bring a carry-on bag plus a personal item (such as a purse, laptop bag or small backpack which fits under the seat) at no charge. You are encouraged to travel with carry-on bags only, if possible!

 

How do I register for the trip?

The registration portal is now open, allowing you to register for the trip via the REGISTER tab on this website. You will need to enter passport information for you and your guest.
